Ascend is the largest, non-profit Pan-Asian organization for business professionals in North America. The mission of Ascend is to enable its members, corporate partners, and the professional Pan-Asian community to leverage the leadership and global business potential of Pan-Asian professionals worldwide.
I joined the Ascend UW Chapter to gain hands-on experience in leadership development and professional development. I wanted to serve as a collective voice for the campus communities by building partnerships with culturally registered student-run organizations and student executive group initiatives.
At Ascend, I've organized and led the Project Management event from the ground up, which has been delivered and presented on the UW Dawg Daze, a longstanding tradition and one of the nation's LARGEST welcome weeks that features more than 250 events from 60 UW departments and student organizations at the University of Washington.
During the summer of July 2020, I organized and launched the first-ever Ascend cross-chapter team event with the (University of Berkeley, University of British Columbia, and University of Washington) for the advancement of our mission and team programming, increasing a membership base of 40% in one academic year.
